remove offsets in eeglab

Post by Erik »

Hi,
when importing a bdf file into eeglab only one or two channels are displayed, the others have very high values (some >10000) and are outside of the display range. I assume this is due to the offsets not being removed? Is it feasible to subtract the value of the first sample from the entire recording (separately for each channel) in order to remove offsets? Is there a more "elegant" way?
Thank you so much!
Erik

Offsets can also be removed by applying an high-pass filter. Whether this is more elegant than the method proposed above, depends on the information you intend to extract from the data.
