Actiview configuration

Post by oconnelr »

Hello,
I am a new user of Biosemi, I just wondered how I can adjust the sampling rate and bandwidth? I have loaded the standard 64 channel configuration file but I do not seem to be able to alter sampling.
thank you

The hardware sampling rate can be adjusted with the speedmode switch (rotary switch on the front-panel of the AD-box). Use the settings 4.5,6 or 7, see http://www.biosemi.com/faq/adjust_samplerate.htm). The sample rate can then be further reduced in software by using the "decimation" selector in the right sidebar of ActiView. The analog bandwidth is displayed for each setting in the indicator below the "decimation" selector (press "run" first). The low-pass cutoff frequency is always at approx 1/5th of the sample rate, so be careful to not reduce the sample rate too much, or you may loose valuable high-frequency information in the data.

Best regards, Coen (BioSemi)
