Intermittent Blue Light issue

Hi,
Could anyone offer any advice, please.
I have the blue light blinking intermittently and then odd looking data on the screen (picture attached).
Sometimes the blue light would go solid and then there would be beautiful data! But this would only last a short period.
Touching certain parts of the cable seemed to affect this but not systematically. Also, when I pulled out CMS and DRL and touched their electrode surfaces, then the blue light came on fine.
This issue is also intermittent, as when I did the bucket test to be more systematic (than with a ppt) I couldn't replicate this at all.
Any advice is much appreciated.
