ActiveTwo flashing lights, bettary solid green

Post by OmkarAthavale »

Hi,

I am part of the University of Auckland, Bioengineering research group.

Today, both of our BioSemi's failed at the same time. We have different flashing light patterns on our 2 x BioSemi ActiveTwo (that have been modified for passive recordings) and they do not work.

ActiveTwo ADC-12:
Plug in battery and turn on.
Battery green light continuous. ActiveTwo green, blue red all flash once, then green and red continue to flash.

ActiveTwo ADC-17:
Plug in battery and turn on.
Battery light green continuous. ActiveTwo blue flash once, green flash once.

The same patterns occur in all speed modes on both devices. We have tried three different batteries, all of which seem to charge correctly on two different chargers. The batteries report approximately 6.4 V.

Are there any additional diagnostic tests we can try to narrow down what has gone wrong?

Regards,
Omkar

2 or 3 flashing lights on the AD-box indicate that a short circuit is detected.

If this happens only with the electrodes connected, then inspect your electrode sets (short circuit between cable shields and electrode wires, electrode gel in the connectors)

If this happens without any electrodes connected, then sent the AD-box to BioSemi for inspection and repair (usually electrode gel in the connectors).

Best regards, Coen (BioSemi)
