Is this the problem of battery?

Post by biozhd »

I found an old BioSemi system in the laboratory, and tried to use it.

At first, I updated the firmware to 4.0. After firmware updated, I can see "RECEIVER02" in Win10 system.

But when I connected all the wires and tried to use ActiView read data, it showed an error:
"Error 5000 occurred at No Incoming Data
ADC-box power is off
or
Optical fiber is disconnected"

I'm sure the optical fiber is connected.

When I turned on the battery, only the battery "on/off" button was green, all the other lights were off.

What should I check in the next step?? Thanks.

Does the second battery work ?

Check the fuse of the battery. If OK, then replace the internal cells.

When the second battery connected, the "shutdown" button was red, and the system did not work.

The fuse was OK in both batteries.

What should I check in the next step? Thanks.

You probably left the batteries too long (several months) is a discharged state. Always charge the batteries before storing and recharge them every few months.

The cells can sometimes be recovered with a few charge/discharge cycles. If not, then contact your local BioSemi representative for replacement of the battery cells.
