Was wondering if there are any groups out there using a Mac as a stimulus display and interfacing that with Biosemi?
We are trying to accomplish that but are having problems with the newer Macs that comes only with USB ports. Has any groups tried sending a pulse via USB to the biosemi receiver? Is the timing accurate? We have yet to explore this possibility.
We acquired a NI card (PCI-MIO-16XE-50), which seems to be one of the few cards with a Mac driver. However, the people at NI told us that we have to use LABVIEW to control it. Our group has virtually no experience with LABVIEW (we are using C/C++ to program our experiments). If anyone here knows whether we could incorporate LABVIEW codes with the C/C++ programs in the Mac? Or even better still, a way to call a C/C++ API to send a digital pulse out from the NI card to the biosemi receiver? It would be great, but not necessary, if you guys could suggest some solutions that work for OS X rather than OS 9. We are finding it very difficult to get software (e.g. MATLAB) support for OS 9.
Thanks
