defect electrode

Hello everybody,
we are using the 64 channel active headcap with pin-type electrodes. Now our FCz electrode seems to be defect. Everytime we click it in either the CM is out of range or the offset of FCz is at maximum amplitude.
Does anyone know if we can go on measuring without FCz? Should we keep it completely out of the cap or should we leave it clicked in to secure the correct data registration of all other electrodes?
Thanks for your help!
