using matlab + psychophysics toolbox for presentation

How (if possible) do I use an alternative to Presentation/EPrime for stim presentation, such as Matlab (w/ psychophysics toolbox)? I assume that I just need to figure out how to pass event codes to the Biosemi inputs? Also, while I can use a PC if necessary, is there any way to do this on a Mac, which has no parallel port?
thanks,
-Steve

Hi, I was wondering whether you ever figured out how to pass event codes from a stimulus presentation program written in matlab to the data acquisition computer? I would appreciate it greatly if you let me know.
Thanks!

Haven't gotten any responses yet, but will post the answer here if I ever get one. Given Matlab's popularity, someone must've solved this.

For Mac / MATLAB / Psychophysics Toolbox users. See Bits++ by Cambridge Research at
http://www.crsltd.com/catalog/bits++/. This is a solution for precise video and digital IO from a Mac or a PC.
