ActiView 10 on macOS/Linux & SDK compatibility with Active3

Post by arty »

Hello,

Our lab is currently setting up a new acquisition pipeline with an Active3 system, with the goal of running our BioSemi hardware natively on Linux. I have a couple of quick questions regarding software and SDK support to help us plan ahead:

-Are there any plans to release ActiView 10 for macOS and Linux? If so, is there a rough ETA?
- Is the current SDK (RingBuffer / USB libraries) fully compatible with the Acti3 hardware?

Thanks in advance,
Coen

We are working on ActiView 10 for Linux. The LabVIEW source code readily transfers to the Linux platform but I still have to do some adaptation to the graphics of the front panel. In addition, the connection to LSL must be converted to Linux. Release of the Linux version is planned for early 2027.

There will not be a MacOS version of ActiView 10 because LabVIEW choose to not longer support future versions of MacOS.

The current SDK (Windows, Mac and Linux) is compatible with ActiveThree. However, in case of the A3, the format of data stream that is read from the ringbuffer differs from the A2 format. Email to info@biosemi.com for details.

Best regards, Coen (BioSemi)
