Sending triggers via National Instruments Digital I/O PCIe-6509

Post by ctischler »

Hi,

I am using a NI PCIe-6509 card to send triggers through Matlab (on Windows) to the BioSemi AD-box's 37-pin connector. If anyone has used a similar type of I/O port before, I would really appreciate your advice on how to send triggers to start/stop recording (saving) data on the ActiView software as well as to code event markers during each trial.

As for the hardware side of things, I am currently using a 37-37pin straight-through cable to connect the Matlab PC to the AD-box. Would I need to connect any pins other than 1-8 + Ground on the Trigger Input connector?

Thank you,
Claudia

Connect up to 16 lines, depending on the number of codes you need. Connecting only the first 8 lines is fine (9-16 will be always high).

Pause On/Off is controlled by trigger lines 1-8. Set the preferred codes in the CFG file, see viewtopic.php?f=2&t=711&p=2174

Best regards, Coen (BioSemi)
