Damaged optic cable?

We have an active two biosemi. Somebody accidentally damaged the (orange) optic cable connecting the two AD-boxes (either by stepping on it or while closing a draw where the cable was stored). The cable is still intact but I can see a thin line where the plastic turned white (like if the cable had been squeezed or pulled).

Beside testing whether information still flows between the AD-boxes and the computer (which I did, and it does), how could I determine whether the cable is actually damaged?

Thank you.

Bend and wiggle the optical optical cable with the system running (not necessary to connect any electrodes). If no error popups occur in ActiView, then the fiber is still OK.

Best regards, Coen (BioSemi)
