rectified EMG for controling activity online

Post by bartur »

Hi, i am planning an experiment using EEG & emg and want to control mirror movements of the non active hand during unimanual activity.
Is there a way to provide the subject with rectified online emg (rms or whatever) inorder to give the active hand a target meaure while making sure the resting hand has no emg activity.
thanks
Gadi

Install LabVIEW on your PC (version: full development, release 8.2 or higher), run the ActiView VI (version complete with source code), open the diagram, identify the (bipolar referenced) EMG channels, add high-pass, RMS, low-pass and some sort of indicator (all basic functions from the LabVIEW library), and you have a real time display of EMG activity.
