Hyperscanning with LabStreamingLayer

Hi everyone,

Our lab will be conducting multi-person EEG recordings using the Active2.5 and Active3 systems. We plan to use LabStreamingLayer to generate software-based triggers. We've successfully used the ActiveTwo system with LabStreamingLayer for single-person EEG recordings, but we're unsure if the Active2.5 and Active3 systems will work just as well in a multi-person setup.

Is it possible to implement multi-person EEG recordings with these two devices using LabStreamingLayer? Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can Hyperscan with the Active3 and Active2.5 system using the method described on https://www.biosemi.com/faq/Hyperscanni ... erface.htm .

It is not possible to use LSL for ActiveThree Hyperscanning.

Hi Coen, thank you for fast response. As you said LabStreamingLayer will not work with Active3, then is it work with single person EEG recording using Active2.5?

According to the LSL website it should work with ActiveTwo (2 and 2.5), but that's all I know.

Thank you, Coen.
And do you know if it's possible to stream data using the hyperscanning system with Active 2.5 and Active 3

With the triggered hyperscanning method, the data files from the two (or more) systems are merged into a single hyperscanning file offline. So it is not possible to stream hyperscanning data during the recording.
