Artifact Scans on Long Epochs in BESA

Post by karlinave »

I am looking at long epochs of data for my trials (either 19.2 seconds or 28.8 seconds, depending on the condition) using BESA, and plan to later export the data to MATLAB, where I will perform frequency analysis. When I go to perform my artifact scan, the BESA program crashes each time. I am wondering if it is because of my long epochs. However, when I try shortening the window to scan for artifacts to half the length of the epoch (9.6 seconds or 14.4 seconds), the program still crashes. In a different version of this experiment, my epoch lengths were exactly 9.6 or 14.4 seconds, and I had no issues with the artifact scan. So, I am not sure why I am receiving this issue now. Has anyone else had difficulty performing an artifact scan in BESA, where the program crashes? Any solutions? Many thanks for any help.

There may be a problem with the BDF file header (recording not normally terminated), try http://www.biosemi.com/download/ToolsFo ... pair86.zip to repair the file header.
