Filtering restrictions

Dear Biosemi team,

I'm interested in studying ultra-slow oscillations in EEG data (from 0.01-0.1 Hz).
Is there any restrictions regarding the on-line filtering and\or post acquisition filtering?
Do you have any recommendations regarding which type of filter is best to use?
Is there anything else I should be aware of?

Thank you very much in advance,
Shiri Simon

Online filters do not affect the data to BDF file, bandwidth on file is always DC till 1/5th of the sample rate (no high-pass).

Use 1st order order or Bessel filters (or other linear phase filters) to minimize overshoot and ringing on step responses (movement artefacts and eye blinks).

Best regards, Coen (BioSemi)
