too many channels

Post by berry23 »

hi all :)

not sure if this is the correct sub-forum for this but i have a problem and i was hoping someone here could help me out.

i am making 64 channel recordings with biosemi active2/actiview. however, after i finished a testing session yesterday, i realised i had accidentally recorded 256 channels. oops.

is there anything i can do to get rid of those channels that i didn't actually use? we use actiview when recording and BESA for analysis - can i use either of these to get rid of the dead channels? i've skimmed the BESA manual but can't see anything useful. we have an EEG specialist in our department but she is on leave from the department for the next few months so i'm kind of on my own

i really cannot afford to lose the data i recorded yesterday so i'm in a mad panic right now! any suggestions would be gratefully received.

thanks!

Similar problems has come up a few times before. I have made some correction tools in LabVIEW, that I can quite easily modify for your specific case. Please sent examples of the wrong and correct files to info@biosemi.com (please use the file cropper tool on our website to reduce the BDF files to a few seconds), and I will make a tool to reduce your 256 chan files.

Best regards, Coen (BioSemi)
