Mapping 128 to 64 channels headcap

Hi,
I am working on a multi-centre dataset and I need to match data recorded with 128 and with 64 channels. I don't want to reinvent the wheel... Do you know some tool to do this (preferably in Python/MNE)? Or should I interpolate all the 64 channels one by one with the original 128 channels?
By the way, I noticed that 34 channels seem to be the same. Is this correct? Can I just map them directly? Or should I treat them like the others (and interpolate them with all the channels)?
Many thanks in advance,
All the best,
Juan
