We're having an issue with the new drivers. My colleague is testing the new drivers, but keeps getting Error 5000 with our systems. The issue occurs on the new drivers for both 32 and 64 bit on Win 7 and 10, but our original 32 bit drivers perform just fine on Win 7 32 bit. Another colleague tested these drivers in the past; do you by chance have a 64 bit driver that is older than the current WinUsb2 version that would work on our system?

I read through a few other threads, and seems this may be a firmware issue with older junction boxes, but not sure if this applies in our case. In any event, we'd much prefer to work with older drivers rather than upgrade all the firmware for our old systems if at all possible. Can you please advise?

Firmware upgrade is only necessary for windows 10.

Windows 7 64-bit should work fine with you current USB-receivers. Use the 64-bit driver from: http://www.biosemi.com/download/USB%20d ... 064bit.zip and ActiView 7.xx downloaded from http://www.biosemi.com/download_actiview.htm). Do not use older ActiView (will not work because of old LabVIEW_DLL.dll file)

Is there any way we can avoid performing a firmware update for our junction boxes, keep using our customized version of the older ActiView software, and still roll onto Windows 10?

There are a number of partially unrelated issues:

- In order to interface with Windows 10, older USB-receivers must be upgraded to firmware 4.0 (check label on underside).

- An USB-receiver with firmware 4.0 will automatically install the proper drivers (on Vista, Windows 7, 8 and 10).

- In order to use 64-bit operating systems with an USB-receiver with firmware older than 4.0, you must manually install the driver from http://www.biosemi.com/download/USB%20d ... 064bit.zip. All USB-receivers with firmware after 2004 work with manually installed drivers.

- In order to use 64-bit operating systems, ActiView must be compiled in LabVIEW 8.6.1 or higher (and use Run-Time-Engine 8.6.1 or higher).

- In order to use the current drivers (manually installed from the website, or automatically installed), the current version of LabVIEW_DLL.dll must be used (as packed with ActiView 7.xx).

So, if your modified software is currently compiled with an LabVIEW version older than 8.6.1, then recompiling in LabVIEW 8.6.1 or higher, and using the latest version of LabVIEW_DLL.dll is inevitable if you want to use a 64-bit operating system.
