Create a 128+8 configuration file for ActiView

Dear all,

we are new user of BioSemi ActiveTwo. We use the 128 channel headcap.
We want to use two EXG electrodes for the mastoids or earlobes as
references and three EXG electrodes to supervise the eyemovement, one vertical
electro-oculo-gram (EOG) and two horizontal EOG .
But we don't know how to create the configuration file for this
electrode arrangement.

We would be very grateful for any suggestions and inputs.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

Kind regards,
Yuqiao Gu

Choose the proper selections for the controls in ActiView, save a few seconds of data in BDF file, then go to the "about" tabpage, and save all the settings as a new CFG.

For a mastoid reference, select "Free Choice" reference, and select EX1 and EX2.

Best regards, Coen

Dear Coen,

I'm not sure two things about 128+8 configuration and reference option in Active Two. I understood that for 128 channels cap plus 6 EXG electrodes (EXG1-EXG5 that are EOG for recording eye movements and EXG5 and EXG6 for left and right mastoid) I should use set up 128 + 8. My question then is what are EXG7 and EXG8 that I can see in the bdf file?

I'm also not sure what does it mean "free choice" option in reference option. What I actually see during recording? Is it the signal that is referenced to two mastoids ?

Thanks in advance for a help.

Edyta

EX1-EX8 are the EX1 to EX8 electrodes.

"free choice" is the option to select any combination of channels
