Slow Red Line Scrolling

I've been running pilots over the past few weeks and have run into a persistent problem.

When I record data from our 64 10-20 set up, the red line that scrolls across the screen always scrolls slower than when I don't record data. So much so that the responses a pilot participant makes is slightly delayed.

The computer specs are: Pentium (R) 4 CPU, 3.00 GHz, 2.99 Ghz, 200 GB RAM.

Video card specs are: NVidia Quadro FX 540

Our response box is a computer mouse run over 3 USB cords.

Please advise.

Responses to ActiView are recorded via the trigger port on the USB port (not via separate USB connections). The timing of these responses is always accurate, even if the display is delayed.
