When I import the BDF files into EEGLAB it gives me the wrong number of events. I should have 21 events before I epoch the data, and 20 events after I epoch. The problem lies in that I get the wrong number of events, and they are always different.
The strange thing is that when I put the electrodes in water and run the whole experiment, I get the correct number of events. This only happens when the electrodes aren't recording off an actual human.
Is this a problem with BIOSEMI or EEGLAB? Are there any steps I can take to correct this issue?
Thank you.

It must be an EEGLAB problem. In the BioSemi hard- and software, the triggers and EEG data can not influence each other. You can check the files with the simple BDF reader (http://www.biosemi.com/download/BDFReader.zip).
