Potential ADC box issue

Post by vinnieQUT »

Hello,

I have run a search through these forums, but could not find anything that was specific to our issue. Apologies in advance if there is actually a thread that addresses this.

Recently, we've been experiencing an issue where there would be no response/power to the ADC-box despite the battery being charged. When trying to start up ActiView, we would get the following error:

Error 5000 occured at No Incoming Data
Possible reason(s):
ADC-box power is off
or
Optical fiber is disconnected

We established that the power to the ADC-box cuts out when the CMS and DRL electrodes are connected. A saltwater bucket test was used to check the issue. Before the CMS and DRL electrodes are placed into the water, the blue "CM in range" LED is flickering. Once they are placed into the water (or if they both touch skin), the LED goes solid for a split moment and then goes out along with the power light. This was tested on current and also a new set of electrodes. From this, we can assume that the electrodes are not the issue. We also switched out the batteries to make sure they were not the issue too.

At this stage, we are not sure what the solution to the problem is. Any help would be appreciated.

Kind regards,
Vincent

The safety circuitry detects a faulty current flow, and shuts down the AD-box. Most probable cause is a connector polluted with electrode gel.

Your local BioSemi representative (Neurospec in Switzerland) is handling your case.
