Stretched headcap

Hello - Our lab has used our BioSemi set-up for the past 5 years. Lately, we've been getting poor conductance due to, I believe, a stretched-out headcap. I was wondering if putting it in a dryer on low heat would "shrink" the fabric and make it tight again. But I'm worried that the dryer heat would melt or otherwise damage the electrode holders.
Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you remedy it? I would also like to hear opinions about the dryer solution.
