Recording EEG + 8 external electrodes puts ergo signal to 0!

Post by mservant »

Dear support,

I'm currently performing a combined EEG/EMG experiment (64 EEG channels + 8 externals). I'm also using Ergo1 and Ergo 2 channels to record response force signal.
Here is the problem:
When I plug the EEG into the amplifier, the response force signal (Ergo1 and 2) disappears. Note that signal is normal on the 64 EEG channels and the 8 externals. However, when the EEG is not plugged, the response force signal is normal. Any idea about the problem?

Cheers,
Mathieu

Are the force sensors connected to anything else than the ERGO input on the AD-box ?
How is power supplied to the force sensors (battery or from ERGO connectors) ?
Do the ERGOs work with the electrodes in water ?
Does is make a difference whether the subject (with EEG working) touches the force sensors ?

Please sent a diagram of the setup to info@biosemi.com
Please make a BDF file of few seconds showing the moment that the electrodes are plugged into the AD-box.

Best regards, Coen (BioSemi)
