Hello,
We are going to send 4 signals from the digital output pins of a microcontroller along with the 8 bit code (as 8 digital output pins)
for pause-on/pause-off function as described, totally 12 triggers, so to synchronize the 4 signals with the EEG data channels.
The output pins can source (provide positive current) or sink (provide negative current) up to 40 mA (milliamps) of current to
triggers, at 0V or 5V. Is there any possibility to damage the USB receiver through this task? If there is, how can i trigger
trigger the USB receiver without faults through the microcontroller?
Thank you , Clyde

Re: Protecting the trigger inputs
Provided that your trigger signals remain between 0 and 5V, there is no danger for damage.
