Batterys dead

Post by Atlantic »

The batteries of our Active two systems apear to be dead, don´t accept charge, the red green of the charge lights imediactely after connection.

What can we do besides the obvious buying a new baterry pack.

Can open the batery box and replace the bateries with new ones ?

Wolud it help if we open the box and disconect the bateries and charge them separately?

Thanks

Coen

The usual reason for battery problems is that they are left unused for a long time (months) in a low state of charge. When a battery discharges deeply, then it normally cannot be revived anymore.

Always charge the battery soon after use (discharging completely does not improve life), and fully charge it before prolonged storing. A stored battery should be recharged at least ounce every 6 months. The best thing to prolong the battery life is to actually use it regularly (customers who use the batteries intensively reach 500-1000 charge-discharge cycles).

The internal cells can be replaced at EUR 150. If you have some soldering skills, you can do this yourself (we just sent the internal battery pack). We are also happy to change the pack if you sent us the battery box. Please contact your local BioSemi representative for Spain/Portugal.
