Substituting broken scalp electrode with EX1

Post by Kath »

Hi,
If I have an electrode set with one faulty electrode in it (P03 causes 'CM out of range'), is it ok to leave this electrode hanging out of the headcap and plug in a separate pin-type EX electrode instead? Will this work the same? I just need a temporary solution until we are able to get the broken electrode repaired or replaced.
Thanks,
Kath

Yes, it's the above procedure is OK, just make sure that the tip of the defect electrode does not touch the subject (contact will cause the CM to go out of range, flickering blue light).
