Durability of the speedmode switch

Hello,
We are considering a multi-task testing session where we have to change the speedmode two time for each subject. The switch doesn't seem to be make for frequent use. We do not want to broke it.
So we are wondering if we should use two boxes (we do have two) and move the electrodes connector instead. In the same line of though, is it cheap and easy (meaning that we can do it ourselves) to change this switch if it does break?
Thanks,
Nicolas
