I was recently approach by an institution that is designing a study in which it records a participant's voice, alters it's pitch, and then replays it back to the participant all in real-time. Each of these events ought to be coded and acquired by ActiView along with ERP data.

One line of thinking is to build a cable that attaches to the back of the USB2 Receiver so each coded event can be sent through some unused ports into ActiView for acquisition.

Does this sound doable?

Yes, you can sent your digital codes to the 16 available trigger lines on the USB receiver, see http://www.biosemi.com/faq/trigger_signals.htm

In addition, you can record the voice signal itself by adding 1 or 2 microphone channels to the ActiveTwo system, and record on 16 kHz sample rate. This provides a 3.3 kHz analog bandwidth, which is probably sufficient for your application. However, note that on 16 kHz bandwidth the number of EEG channels is limited to 40.
