Ergo input strain gauge

Is the ergo input on the current Active 2 active? If so, what is the pin configuration? Would a strain gauge such as ADI's MLT003/D Hand Dynamometer (DIN) be compatible? Thanks, Paul

The Ergo input is active when the additional ampl/converter module has been added to the motherboard inside the AD-box. If the purple "Ergo" label is added to the front panel, then you can generally expect that the Ergo is installed (mail me your serial number to be sure).
The MLT003/D Hand Dynamometer can probably be connected to the Ergo input via our special miniature strain gage amp, see
http://www.biosemi.comaccessoires.htm. The spec sheet of the MLT003 does not supply all necessary information, but I do not foresee major problems.

Coen, thanks for your reply. I have an externally powered force transducer I'd like to record from. Where can I find a pin configuration map for the Ergo port?

The pinout for the ERGO input is:
Pin 1: -2 V supply
Pin 2: 0V Common
Pin 3: +3 V supply
Pin 4: ERGO1 non-inverting
Pin 5: ERGO1 inverting
Pin 6: ERGO2 non-inverting
Pin 7: ERGO2 inverting
Pin 8: not connected
The input range for the inputs is -1V to +1V (2V peak-to-peak) with respect to the 0V Common (Pin 2).
For optimal results (minimal noise and drift), a strain gage needs a special preamp between the gage and ERGO (see
http://www.biosemi.com/accessoires.htm).
