One of our pin-type electrode sets has one faulty electrode. Can I replace that faulty electrode by other pin-type electrode set? For example, use A1-A31 electrodes and connect to "A" in A/D box and use B1 and connect to "B" in A/D box. In this case, the A32 and B2-B32 will not be insert in head-cap. Is it okay to replace the faulty electrode like this?

The above procedure is OK, just make sure that the defect A32 electrode does not touch the subject (the blue light will start to flicker, and signal will be lost on all electrodes). The loose hanging electrodes B2-B32 may pick up large amount of 50/60 Hz interference. However, this will not influence the electrodes connected to the subject, because of the very high channel separation offered by the ActiveTwo system.
You can remove the unused channels from the set of displayed traces by using the "free choice" channel selection option. You can remove the unused channels from the set saved to file, by using the "save monopolar displayed channels" option in the file dialog.
An easier method to replace just a few faulty electrodes is to use the EX channels with TP-pin electrodes.
