Portable EEG

Post by mmccorm »

We are designing an EEG processing unit based on the BeagleBoard (beagleboard .org) for brain-computer interface applications (wheelchair actuation for example). The board has USB 2.0 support along with I2C, serial and other I/O.

We are looking to acquire 8 channels from (likely BioSemi) active electrodes and send them to this device.

What would be an economical and portable choice for this sort of application? Ideally optical isolation from our board is desired.

Thanks!

The BioSemi ActiveTwo system in 8 channel configuration would meet your needs. The system is portable. The USB2 output of our receiver would interface directly with your BeagleBoard. Finally, battery power supply and fiber optic data transfer would provides excellent galvanic isolation between the subject and the BeagleBoard

Best regards, Coen (BioSemi)
