I want to use a very small portable computer as the machine to generate the stimuli. Unfortunately, this computer does not have a parallel port, but only a USB 2 port. So my question: Is there any advice or prior experience re sending triggers to the USB box via USB? Any suggested hardware solution or a even particular product? (There are USB-to-parallel port adapters, but I do not know to what extent one shall trust them re triggers, as they are supposed to work for printing only.)

I tried getting a USB-to-parallel adapter to work on our machine, but had no success with our custom built software. We then opted to buy a parallel port PCI card for our stimuli computer. That worked very well.
