port AUX2 and AUX3 on an active two

Dear mr COEN

Could you tell me more about "aux 2" and "aux 3" ports on our ACTIVE TWO box ?

I suppose that these ports are auxiliary analog inputs ... but I can't find their caracteristics.
Can you give me their pin layout and the range of the voltage input ... are they acquired at the same rate than EEG's ...

The Aux ports can be used for a range of sensors. The Aux ports are configured for particular sensors, so no general characteristics can be given. If you have not purchased additional sensors with your system, then the Aux ports are left unwired.

All channels (electrodes and extra sensors) in the ActiveTwo system are sampled at the same rate.

Hi,

could you elaborate on the subject? Am I able to plug in a custom, external signal using the AUX3 port? I would like to have an additional triggering signal being recorded. What is the wiring diagram of the port? Thanks in advance

The source is an external adjustable signal generator (product of Agilent). We are using several diagnostic technics on two PCs, thus we want to have one common triggering signal in order to precisely know when the measurement starts. The signal is a 10 Hz 5V (the voltage is supposedly adjustable) square wave.

Connect the triggers to the trigger port on the USB receiver (http://www.biosemi.com/faq/trigger_signals.htm). The 10 Hz, 5V signal will be acquired without problems.

The optional input ports on the AD-box are only intended for sensors that are galvanically isolated from the environment (mains supply).
