We have an Active Two system and we would like to send trigger signals to the USB receiver via a parallel port. Let me explain.
We use a separate computer that presents stimuli and we would like to send trigger signals using its parallel port.
Can we connect directly data pins and ground pins of the parallel port to the trigger in and ground pins of the Sub-D connector of USB receiver, or do we need a device between them.
Thank in advance.

You can sent the TTL (0-5V) signals from the parallel port directly to the input pins (pin 1-16) of the trigger port on the USB receiver. Make the ground connection by connecting pin 25 on the parallel port to pin 37 on the trigger port on the USB receiver (see http://www.biosemi.com/faq/trigger_signals.htm)
Because of the fiber optic data link between AD-box and USB receiver, the subject remains completely galvanically isolated from the stimulus and acquisition computers.
