Battery charge
Hi, I have a question about one of our EEG batteries. I've noticed that when the "less than 20% charge remaining" warning appears in Actiview, the battery then shuts down less than 5 mins later. It used to last for at least another half hour after initially displaying this warning, which was enough ...

Substituting broken scalp electrode with EX1
Hi, If I have an electrode set with one faulty electrode in it (P03 causes 'CM out of range'), is it ok to leave this electrode hanging out of the headcap and plug in a separate pin-type EX electrode instead? Will this work the same? I just need a temporary solution until we are able to get the brok...

AD box difficulty
Hi, Our equipment has been working fine aside from a few noisy electrodes, but today when I went to bucket-test the electrodes, I had a lot of trouble. When I connected the electrode set to the connector (but not attached to a subject or salt water), the green light on the AD box came on while the b...

Biosemi vs Neuroscan recorded ERP amplitudes
Hi, We've conducted the same experimental condition using a BioSemi and a Neuroscan system, and noticed that the ERP amplitudes came out much higher when recorded with BioSemi. Has anyone else noticed anything similar? Can anyone suggest why this might happen (other than simply different participant...

Correct way to position electrode leads
Hi, I've seen this done a few different ways, but is there a correct way to position the scalp electrode leads when plugging them into the headcap? I currently have them pointing down and back towards the participant's ears, but we have had several lead breakages at the point where the electrode mee...

Headcap life
Hi,
I'm just wondering how long you would expect to be using the electrode caps for before they needed replacing.
Thanks,
Kath

Hi Coen, Thank you for your quick reply. When you say "contact problem", do you mean that the CMS/DRL electrodes have momentarily come away from the scalp? Perhaps we need more conductive gel? And if it is a pollution problem, what should I do? Should I switch to using a different set of CMS/DRL ele...

Sudden and intermittent electrode drift
Hi, We are having trouble with a very strange electrode drift. All signal and offsets look good in ActiView, but every now and then, all 64 channels suddenly appear to go down in a sharp diagonal line and disappear off the screen, then reappear on the screen a few seconds later. This happens despite...
