Cleaning time

We also have cleaned the cap using a washing machine (low temperature, delicate tissues). The results are very good in term of cleaning and of cap resistance. This could be a good solution to use a washing machine from time to time...

Can I ask you what you call impedence ...

Hi,

Ok, so I'm the first to answer.

Acquisition system:
We own a 64 electrodes ActiveTwo acquisition system (66 electrodes including CMS and DRL). The cap has 258 holders numbered A1 to H32, so that we can plug the electrodes virtually at any place. The electrodes are numbered using the standard ...

Dear all,

I would like to know how much time does it take to set-up an experiment on an Active Two acquisition system.

The idea is the every user describe their acquisition system, setup method and time, so that good techniques can be shared with the other users.

We upgraded our machine from Windows 2000 to Windows XP SP2 and installed the firmware upgrade (but not the proposed windows XP patch, which should be included in SP2).

Result: no more Error 5000 (tested for about 45 minutes of measurements on a 64 channels ActiveTwo)! Great! :D

Previously, we ...

Thanks a lot for your support Coen ;-). It is not written explicitely that Windows 2000 is not a supported product! We spent 40'000 euros for a non supported product, that's great. :?

We also have tested it on two another Windows 2000 machine (one ...

Hello,

We use the Biosemi cap with 258 hard plastic holders (but only 64 electrodes). As there is a lot of holders, the pressure is well distributed over the head, so this is very comportable.

The disadvantage is of course the price: a 258 holders cap is not cheap!

best regards,

Julien

Hi,

The Windows patch KB822603 is necessary only under Windows XP. The URL is http://support.microsoft.com/default.as ... ;en;822603
(bad link in the previous post).

Cheers

Hi Dan,

We just starts with Biosemi headcap and also noticed some problems fot the cap cleaning (that's probably the most difficult part to clean).

Usuallywe just wash the cap with hot water (no soap/detergent). Strong water flow is preferred to remove the gel.
