Re: Manual for editing ActiView .cfg files

I was wondering if there is a cfg file setting that would allow me to mask or ignore a bit from the trigger input. Specifically, I have a custom wired cable that allows codes to be sent to separate devices by stimulus presentation software. Unfortunately, the 128 bit seems to be held high when I try...

I have a question about these electrode offsets values in biosemi recordings. I know that less than 20mV is ideal but less than 40mV is acceptable. Is it appropriate to think that greater absolute offsets lead to increased channel noise? In biosemi documentation, you state that the exact placement o...

Hello, We have experienced the same problem with error 5002 reported by srwing previously. Initially, the optic link light was off. We purchased a new fiber optic cable. This seemed to be the fix, as the optic link LED would light up with the new cable attached and the ad box power on. However, we s...

Is there a software section of the manual now? If so, where can this manual be found/downloaded?

thanks,

"For off-line display of the electrode offsets, you can simply use the sample values from the BDF file." What does this mean? Before I start my experiment I might see for example -10 for some electrode in the "electrode offset" tab of the software. How is that value stored in the .bdf file? I just n...

Hi, I wonder if the activeView software and its usb driver would work on a newer mac (with intel hardware), that dual boots, and so it can run windows XP.

Has anyone done this? Can anyone imagine why this wouldn't work?

thanks,
Brian

We run scenarios where the start and finish of a recording block is triggered by our stimulus presentation computer. We use presentation, where the TTL pulse duration (pulse_width) can be specified. We use a 10ms pulse duration, which starts and stops the recording fine. However, when analyzing the ...

Is there a subset value under the:
[save]

subset=0 (or 1,2,3...8)

where you can save none of the channels just the 8 touchproof sites? I want to run a quick test and I don't want to create gigantic files.

thanks,
Brian

Thanks for your response. What about the lowest resolvable frequency - does the system place any restriction on that (something like a high pass filter) or is it only based on the amount of data recorded?

thanks again,
Brian

sampling rate and bioSemi nyquist

BioSemi Users, What is the maximum resolvable frequency given a sampling rate of X on the BioSemi system with ActiveView2 software? Is it X/2Hz? I believe it is X/4Hz on neuroscan systems, and I was curious about how bioSemi compares. If we are sampling at 1024Hz, can we resolve up to 512Hz? thanks ...

I am wondering the same thing? I suppose along the same lines, can you concatenate more than two .bdf files with this method?
